Now Offering
Dyslexia Screening
Learning Solutions is now offering The Tests of Dyslexia (TOD) Assessments which are developed by WPS through extensive research with the Science of Reading in mind. They are used to evaluate the skills profile of individuals 1st grade through adult. Through this screening evaluation, a Dyslexia Risk Index (DRI) is created to measure the risk of dyslexia. The Dyslexia Risk Index (DRI) score is a valuable tool in determining next steps for dyslexia assessment and intervention, and possibly even determining access arrangements for some colleges, universities and occupational settings.
In the event screening confirms the risk for Dyslexia, we will provide you with information on appropriate next steps.
TOD-S includes three tests:
-
Picture Vocabulary measures receptive vocabulary knowledge by having the test taker select which one of four pictures matches the meaning of the word they hear.
-
Letter and Word Choice measures the test taker’s ability to recognize letters and correctly spelled words from four options.
-
Timed Word Reading Fluency (Reception and Years 1 & 2) or Question Reading Fluency (Year 3 –adulthood) measures reading automaticity by having the test taker select the word that matches the picture (for Word Reading) or answers the question (for Question Reading).
