Learning Solutions is offering Academic Language and Dyslexia Therapist Training to the virtual classroom.
Pathways to Certification and Advanced Training
Certified Academic Language Therapists receive specialize advanced training in dyslexia intervention. To earn certification through ALTA, a CALT must complete:

A minimum of 200 hours of graduate-level coursework

A minimum of 700 hours of supervised practicum with at least 3 teaching situations

A minimum of 10 demonstration lessons

A passing score on ALTA Competency Exam for MSLE at the Therapy level

A Master's degree is required for CALT certification. Training can be competed with a Bachelor's degree leading towards CALT-C or CALP certification
-
This training can also be used as graduate hours towards a master's degree
CALT certification represents the highest level of training and experience in the field of dyslexia intervention. These highly trained professionals use therapeutic and diagnostic techniques to help your child learn to read, write and communicate with confidence.
In our Therapy Level Training, you will receive over 230 hours of instruction over the course of two years from an ALTA-credentialed Qualified Instructor. Academic Language Therapy is an approach that specifically addresses the language challenges associated with dyslexia. It focuses on teaching strategies and techniques to improve vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, reading comprehension, and written expression. By targeting these areas of difficulty, individuals with dyslexia can develop the necessary skills to overcome their challenges, improve their academic performance, and enhance their overall language proficiency.

​Our course provides therapy training using the Take Flight curriculum, developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, Texas.
​
This course not only meets but far exceeds ALTA’s requirements for Therapy-level certification. All training is delivered live via Zoom, allowing you to receive high-quality, interactive instruction from wherever you are.

Costs: 2 yr of instruction and support $5600 ($2800 per year)
